A comprehensive national framework setting the vision, goals and reforms for a country's education system; India's NEP 2020 is a prominent example.

NEP 2020 introduced reforms such as a restructured school stage system, multidisciplinary higher education, multiple entry and exit, the Academic Bank of Credits, greater institutional autonomy and an emphasis on foundational literacy and skills.
