A core technique in outcome-based education that links the Course Outcomes of individual courses to the broader Program Outcomes of a degree.

Each course defines a small set of Course Outcomes, which are mapped, often in a weighted correlation matrix, to Program Outcomes and Program Specific Outcomes. Assessment data is then collected against these mappings to measure attainment.

CO-PO mapping is a key requirement of accreditation bodies such as NBA and those under the Washington Accord, because it provides documented evidence that a program delivers its intended graduate attributes. Edwisely's CoE PE collects this evidence automatically as faculty teach.

An educational framework in which curriculum, teaching and assessment are all organised around clearly defined learning outcomes, shifting the focus from inputs delivered to competencies demonstrated.
Course Outcomes (CO)
Specific statements of what a student should know or be able to do after completing an individual course.
Program Outcomes (PO)
Broad competencies expected of all graduates of a program, against which course outcomes are mapped.

A digital framework that stores and manages academic credits earned by a student across institutions, enabling credit accumulation, transfer and multiple entry and exit.
