An autonomous body in India that assesses and accredits higher education institutions as a whole, evaluating overall quality across teaching, research, infrastructure, governance and outcomes.

NAAC combines an institutional self-study report with a peer-team visit and awards a grade (such as A++, A+, A, B or C) with a Cumulative Grade Point Average reflecting overall quality. It is institutional in scope, in contrast to the program-specific NBA.
