Curriculum & Outcomes

The full set of courses, content, learning experiences and intended outcomes that an institution offers within a program of study.

Curriculum design balances disciplinary depth, breadth, skills and outcomes, and is increasingly shaped by industry needs, accreditation requirements and pedagogical research. A well-designed curriculum is explicitly aligned with program outcomes and assessment.

Specific statements of what a student should know or be able to do after completing an individual course.
OBE (Outcome-Based Education)
An educational framework in which curriculum, teaching and assessment are all organised around clearly defined learning outcomes, shifting the focus from inputs delivered to competencies demonstrated.
Academic Bank of Credits (ABC)
A digital framework that stores and manages academic credits earned by a student across institutions, enabling credit accumulation, transfer and multiple entry and exit.
Academic Year
The annual cycle of instruction, typically divided into semesters, terms or trimesters.
