Entrance & Admissions

A structured process through which qualified candidates are allotted seats in institutions and programs, typically based on entrance-exam ranks, preferences and seat availability.

After exams such as JEE or NEET in India, candidates fill choices, are provisionally allotted seats by merit, and confirm or upgrade their allotment over multiple rounds. The term can also refer more broadly to academic, career or psychological guidance for students.
